Fifty Shades of Darkness: A Socio-Cognitive Information-Processing Framework Applied to Narcissism and Psychopathy

Existing trait-based and cognitive models of psychopathy narcissism fail to provide a comprehensive framework that explains the continuum between sub-clinical clinical presentations those personalities predict associated maladaptive behavior in different social cultural contexts. In this article, socio-cognitive information-processing for (SCIPNP) is proposed explain how psychopathic narcissistic schemata influence activation psychological processes interact with contexts display at level. The enables us narcissists psychopaths develop personality disorders. SCIPNP emphasizes role culture shaping motives, appraisals, affect. Recommendations future research are provided.
